Learn about our PDQ

aandgleger

Gerry and I purchased our PDQ in April 2024, hull number 90. "Sea Senor" spend most of her life in Guatemala Mexico and was delivered to Rhumb Line Yacht Sales in Stuart FL in March 2024.

Shortly after we purchased her, Gerry and I drove from Connecticut to Florida to set her up and make her our own.

A few of the projects during this week included:

  • Cleaning both interior and exterior

  • Purchasing 125 ft of 5/16th chain and splicing on 150 ft of line

  • Making sure the dinghy and engine were ready for the trip

  • The 1000 hour major service complete including new turbos, heat exchangers cleaned, new belts plus other general maintenance to both 110 HP Yanmar inboard diesel engines

  • New Cruisair AC units (one in Salon and one in Staterooms)

  • New house batteries

  • Ensuring we had all of the tools we could possible need for the trip north

  • Inventory and stocking with spare parts including fan belts, fuel filters, oil filters, oil for engines, transmission and generator.

  • Purchased a portable water maker!

  • Organize, Organize, Organize

  • Stock with food and beverages for the delivery

Here is a video tour of the boat!

Thanks, Amy
